By accessing and using Your Life As A Pie ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Your Life As A Pie is a web-based application that allows users to:

• Create and visualize life events as a pie chart representation
• Import events from Google Calendar or CSV files
• Customize color themes and event details
• Export visualizations as PDF documents
• Store and manage multiple event versions

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Be responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.2 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User Content

4.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all event data, descriptions, and content you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us the right to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

4.2 Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on others' intellectual property rights
• Attempt to breach security or interfere with the Service

5. Google Calendar Integration

If you choose to import events from Google Calendar:

• You authorize us to access your calendar data on a one-time basis
• We will only read calendar events to import them into your visualization
• You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings
• We do not continuously sync or monitor your calendar

6. Payments and PDF Exports

PDF exports are available on a pay-what-you-want basis:

• You can download PDFs for free (CHF 0) or contribute any amount
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Contributions are non-refundable
• You receive immediate access to download after payment (or for free)

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and functionality, is owned by Your Life As A Pie and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The Service is free of viruses or harmful components

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Data Backup

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we recommend regularly exporting your event data as a backup. We are not responsible for data loss.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.
